Llacanora

Llanacora, Cajamarca, Peru, South AmericaLocated 13 Km from Cajamarca at an altitude of 2,606 m., is one of the most picturesque and colourful town of the valley. Built at an era that gets lost in the time, it offers the visitor a singular beauty of the landscapes sprinkled by pastures, Andean cultivations and forests of eucalyptuses and alisos, all them watered by the river Cajamarca that is formed of the union of rivers San Lucas, Mashcón and Chonta. To the Northeast of the town and following the horseshoe trail, you can arrive to the famous "waterfalls", magnified more by the imagination than by the quantity of falling water, but of a serene beauty that leaves in us, the sensation of a great peace and an infinite tranquility.

Pariamarca

It is located to 7 Km from Cajamarca, and it is one of the most accessible typical towns for the visitor. Its twisted and narrow streets with adobe houses covered by tile roofs and its gardens embroidered with the yellow flowers of thousands of brooms, transform it into an unforgettable place. It is known for its wool fabrics, manufactured by hand and coloured with natural tints. Its special location on a hillside, gives it an aspect of a natural lookout that offers a panoramic view of a large part of the Cajamarca's countryside. The fiesta in honour of the "Virgen del Rosario", takes place in the first week of October.

Jesus

Jesús, Cajamarca, Peru, South AmericaThis district, for the strong fertility of its land, the softness of its climate and a quality of its agricultural and cattle production, has been a pantry of the city of Cajamarca. In flavour and softness, its choclo corn and its guinea pigs don't have equally. It is located only 20 Km away from Cajamarca. Its saint patron, the boy Jesus, is the most beautiful and miraculous in the district. In his honour is carried out a weeklong fiesta including bullfights, handicrafts and agricultural markets, sports events and popular dances.

Porcón Bajo

Located, approximately, at the Km 16 on the highway that unites the city of Cajamarca with that of Bambamarca, it is the place where are carried out the most characteristic rituals in the native Christendom, like the Fiesta of Las Cruzes and Domingo of Ramos, during the Holy Week.
In the way, between the kilometres 8 and 12, the stonecutters and artisans of Huambocancha are transforming the marble, the granite and the stone in fine sculpture works, with religious and decorative motives, together with other objects such as basins, benches and architectural decorations.

Kuntur Wasi

This is located at an altitude of 2,300 m. in the Cerro La Copa of San Pablo's County. The discovery of the tombs associated with art objects manufactured totally of gold of the best quality, as well as other discoveries, have determined the necessity to construct a museum in the town of La Conga, which was realised thanks to the reciprocates and fraternal collaboration between the peoples of Peru and Japan.
